Welcome everyone,

We are your Tantalus Men’s 1 team this year. We are a student team of young(ish) players since many of the old heads left us last season and are now playing in the national 1st division after promotion last season. Coach Luuk still our puppeteer, many of the same faces from the last few seasons and some new, young talent to fill in the blanks. As Luuk is still drawing up plays which Vilius and the rest of us don’t follow and defensive schemes which Ediz chooses to ignore, we are looking toward a tough and hopefully fruitful season in which there are rumours that we could promote again?!? It is never as easy as just promoting as we saw last season. Highly competitive and sometimes argumentative training sessions (no names mentioned here…), missing players as we juggle our studies alongside practices and the same bad knees, backs and ankles as we have always had, are just another hurdle for us along the way. We have diversified ourselves even since last season and are now supporting 11 different nationalities on the team (EuroBasket caused some drama). So with some good pre-season games in our back pockets and hunger for more wins, we look forward to this season together as a team and together with you as our fans.

Thanks to all of you for cheering us on from the sidelines. So please put your phones on silent, grab your popcorn and prepare for sharp shooting, questionable play making and a lot of complaining to referees (please no technicals).
